About the piece: The contemporary dance piece LORDESS by THE GARDEN // performing arts, bursts full of life into the discourse on queer, sexuality, gender, constant transformation, and performance. The concept of the piece sees the body as a political discourse on stage, and the fine arts as the foundation for movement. Inspired by queer artist Lorenza Böttner, the play shows what is possible - under the premise: "the limits of creativity and art are not dependent on our bodies, or our idea of normality".
Funded by the Performing Arts Fund, the Allbau Foundation, the Essen Cultural Office, beWEGEnd.e.V, in cooperation with SZENE 2WEI, Theater im Depot, Rü-Bühne Essen and the monsun.theater in Hamburg.

About the piece: Rudolf Brazda, bearer of a pink triangle, is the bridge between the queer topic and dance as an art form. The pink triangle symbol went far beyond the sexual discourse and it became into a "normal" discourse that divides people according to their sexuality. In our time, this pink triangle still invisible but present in the air above everyone in the queer community, Our modern times allow us to highlight with a hashtag what we want to remind from the good, the bad or the controversy - B.R.A.Z.D.A goes beyond a highlighting, it is a tribute to the bullied, the abused, the killed.

Some things are taken from reality and follow a life impulse: a physical manifestation of reason, intuition and sensation. Others, in turn, appear as fictional constructions, intended to attract or alienate the other.
